Such a quaint and chic hotel. The design transports you to the days of opulence past, but do not think that the furniture are old. They are brand new. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff is top notch. You will find hidden gems throughout the hotel. The Saloon, Spa, and terrace. Check out the lift. Was pleasantly surprised that they use L'Occitane for their amenities in the bath room. Definitely want to come again.

My family and I just recently returned from vacation in which Bratislava was a part of. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and we started in Budapest, traveled by train to Bratislava and then onto Prague. Little did we know that Bratislava would be a Highlight of our trip! Namely, Jana, the hotel concierge Holds the distinction of being one of the best we have seen in any of the Marriott hotels. We are lifetime platinum members and have traveled extensively so this is saying a lot! She made us feel so special! So much so, that we are encouraging our friends not to skip over Bratislava when traveling from Budapest to Prague. Jana was our resource guide, our travel planner, and idea generator! Jana received our many emails of questions with excitement and enthusiasm. She responded very quickly, comprehensively and with valuable suggestions and tips to ensure we would enjoy our stay in Bratislava. She helped us navigate the train system, detailing times and cost and basically did all the work for us and then arranged to have us picked up at the station and then dropped off-always with a gigantic smile! After she arranged to have us picked up at the train, she greeted us in the hotel lobby with welcomed refreshments. Upon learning of our celebrating our anniversary, she gave us a wonderful riverside suite complete with champagne and delicious macarons! No detail was overlooked. Jana emailed us details regarding where to dine and what to do and then made all the arrangements-reservations for us. All we had to do was show up. What a pleasure! And she checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed your beautiful and elegant hotel, especially breakfast which was very elaborate. Our daughter tells everyone that Bratislava was the highlight of our trip. Such an unexpected delight! We all felt that Jana played a huge role in our enjoyment of your fine hotel and wonderful historic city. You are very lucky to have such a true professional, in Jana. This is truly a grand historical hotel almost on the scale of great hotels like the Plaza in New York and the Savoy in Paris, but for 1/10 the price. Great service and wonderful breakfast buffet. The best location with 95% of the restaurants and sights within a few blocks walking distance. If you can stay in the same rooms as Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, Arthur Rubinstein, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein, why would you stay anywhere else in Bratislava.

Visiting Bratislava for first time. Wedding anniversary so asked if any chance by email of an upgrade. Generously gave us an upgrade to a suite. Mrs T mightily impressed with the room and facilities. Staff all friendly. Breakfast brilliant with lots of choice. Interestingly bread and butter pudding which we think used yesterday croissants and pain a chocs. Absolutely delicious. Had a small issue with the bath tap. Reported and fixed while at breakfast. Fab service. Location very central with bus and tram stops nearby and can walk to old town in 10 mins. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Conveniently located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Bratislava. Staff were efficient and helpful. Plenty of options for breakfast. Check in was 4.00pm but we arrived early at 12.30. We asked to wait in the Reception lounge for 5 minutes while they completed cleaning our room then we were checked in. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location - directly next to the river, one of the main bus stations right round the corner and right on the edge of the Old Town. The staff throughout are all very friendly and welcoming and it does feel like a traditional European five-star property. I had booked a single room and while the bed was a large single and comfortable, it was annoying everything else in the room took the ‘single’ approach to the extreme - one sachet of coffee, one mug, one bottle of shower gel etc. The mini bar was stocked though and everything else in the room decent. The TV was large and had a good number of English language channels, electric sockets next to the bed, it was quiet with decent views and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. I couldn’t get the wifi to work but with the good mobile coverage coped fine without. The bar on the ground floor is a nice retreat, open very late and with a full range of drink options. It does permit smoking but it isn’t overly bothersome and it’s got a really traditional atmosphere with great staff. I didn’t get a chance to sample the restaurant but if the outdoor terrace had have been open that would offer a good place to watch the world go by. Overall it’s a decent option if you want to stay somewhere located in best spot and I’d happily pick it again.

Hotel was nice! Pretty comfortable stay, cosy room, little outdated, but overall happy with it! Clean, presentable and main thing was air conditioning! I’ve booked it in summer, so air conditioning was a must! In Slovakia, it gets uncomfortably hot during summer months, so booking a hotel without aircon, would be a terrible mistake! Our room, was a family room and costed over €100 a night, which was pretty pricey, for what it was, but there was nothing wrong with it! Just a little overpriced for what it was. Would definitely stay again, probably would book more in advance, to get better deal.

I ended up booking Hotel Antares last minute due to the Vienna lockdown and honestly almost was glad for it! Antares is a bit out of the way (it's a few blocks from the minibus and maybe a half mile from the main street), but the staff was incredibly friendly. The rooms were large and clean with great WiFi. And the breakfast was quite delicious. The only thing I can even vaguely complain about was that it is a bit hard to find and something of an uphill trek from transit. But if you're willing to deal with those two (very small) annoyances, this is an amazing budget hotel with a tremendous number of ammenities for its very reasonable price.

The Ibis chain are no frills hotel, with Bratislava centrum being no exception. The rooms are very basic, no kettle or coffee maker, minimal plug sockets, standard bed and tv. The shower room is very small and the hot water seems to take a while to kick in, and sadly the water pressure in the shower is awful. The room however seemed very clean and the bed was comfy, good enough for a couple of nights. Tv remote has a button for Netflix, however it didn't seem to work or has been disconnected somehow. Check in desk seemed relatively pleasant and I managed to check in an hour early which was nice. Hotel location is perfect, just a stones throw away from the old town and with easy accessibility to the rest of the city. If you manage you expectations and want a budget hotel in the centre of Bratislava then Ibis is a good option. The hotel does what it says on the tin and is fine for a few nights stay. The hotel also offers breakfast, however I didn't choose this option so can't comment on this.

Owing to a very busy schedule,I have been too many days delayed in writing this: absolutely the only negative comment I can make about the Falkensteiner is the inadequate bedding- two small single duvets are inappropriate for a double or king bed.A normal sheet ( there is no need for any form of quilt in summer) is required. Otherwise ,I cannot criticise- there was even an actual bath in the bathroom.The room was cool,quiet and well furnished.The coffee machine was adequate for making tea,and the fridge worked The location was ideal for a castle visit,and the old town was easily reached via an only slightly unpleasant underpass.

The hotel is of a good standard and very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms/apartments were a good size and nicely furnished. The only, but, is that we are 3 ladies over 60. Not only was the walk uphill from the old town quite a challenge, but the hotel car park is a cobbled slope and the entrance to the reception is via 2 sets of stairs one without a handrail. Distance to the old town was not a problem, but the slope getting back was a chore especially in the heat. Definitely don't want to take anything away from how good the hotel is, but think older people or people with mobility issues need to know

What a wonderful hotel! Nothing was too much! The staff were friendly and helpful. With a toddler travelling is always fun but this hotel is right inthe centre of the old town so perfectly located when we needed to come back for a mid day nap. The breakfast was simple but delicious located downstairs it was a lovely set up. Felt very homey. The room was clean & I loved the instant coffee sachets! The bit I loved the most about the hotel was the reading area which was quiet & provided the perfect place to sit & relax after a busy day. It also meant I could sit & read whilst my daughter was sleeping.

The location of the hotel is good. The room is clean and has everything I needed. The service is also good. But there were problems with hot water in one room. So I asked an employee named Alicia to help me solve this issue or change the room. But Alicia began to be rude and said that the water was not so cold and I could take a shower. But the water temperature was really cold. I was surprised. As a result, our number was changed, but only after conflict.

What a find! The hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location for exploring Bratislava. The staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful I've found anywhere and couldn't do more to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with something to suit everyone. Our room was spacious and comfortable with the only downside being that it wasn't air-conditioned and consequently was overly warm for our liking but this was a minor negative. Overall we and our friends had a lovely time here and this hotel would be our first choice if visiting Bratislava again

The Viktor Hotel is in a quiet area. Good parking . 45 minutes walk from the old town. The rooms are basic but have AC and a work space. Could be improved by having a kettle in each room. No English TV programmes. However, everything works. Restaurant open for breakfast only (€11 per person). Breakfast is not great value as there are only omlettes, some cereals, bread, yogurt, boiled eggs, portions of prepacked cheese and apples. Would be nice to have some cold meats and salad. It would be nice if breakfast continued to 10 ... its only 0700 to 0830. Management seemed strained and room not available on arrival. Was given three rooms with the final room ... at 9pm was OK. No evening meals or lunch served.

With the window open it was a bit noisy from the street, and our kettle was leaking. We only slept one night in the hotel, but a very positive experience, and importantly it was very clean, clean bedding, clean towels, quiet, no other people heard through the rooms.

It was my first stay in a Lindner hotel which was recently acquired by Hyatt and merged into the Joie de Vivre brand. JdV is a full service brand so I somehow expected something similar from Lindner but I was moderately disappointed - Lindner was a clear step below JdV. That said, for the price I paid I cannot say that it was unacceptable; Lindner was fairly inexpensive and the product is relatively well aligned with the price. The good news is that I was upgraded to a junior suite as Hyatt Globalist guest so no complaint about the treatment. That said, the room felt far more like a Holiday Inn or a Novotel than a full service hotel within Hyatt group. The shower was in the bathtub and there was only one door to the bathroom, either to close the toilet enclosure or to close the bathroom itself; it was not possible to close both at the same time because the same door was used for both. Also the bathroom toiletries were cheap no-name stuff. Last but not least, the dark brown carpet was pretty uninspiring. Where the hotel performed better was in terms of breakfast which felt on par with what this hotel should be regarding the food choices and the quality. However I was a bit surprised about how it worked because my understanding is that breakfast is not provided for free to all guests at this hotel but staff just let anybody walk in and serve themselves. In fact there was very little service in the restaurant as nobody spoke to us the entire time we were there. Overall while my comments above might seem on balance more negative than positive, since we can pay a bit more than 100 EUR for a room at this hotel which is also Hyatt category 1 for points redemptions, it's hard to be overly harsh. I simply don't think it fits JdV well but the hotel on its own is ok.

Dit appartementhotel is heel gunstig gelegen ten opzichte van het oude centrum van de stad. Het appartement was ruim en compleet, met een goed ingerichte keuken. Prima parking onder het hotel en prettige (schoonmaak) service en een fijn verzorgd ontbijt. Een aanrader voor een citytrip naar deze prachtige stad die qua prijs , comfort en culturele verrassingen ver te verkiezen is boven Wenen. Buiten de oude stad is het Danubiana Meulensteen Art museum gelegen aan de Donau een absolute aanrader!

Visiting Bratislava for first time. Wedding anniversary so asked if any chance by email of an upgrade. Generously gave us an upgrade to a suite. Mrs T mightily impressed with the room and facilities. Staff all friendly. Breakfast brilliant with lots of choice. Interestingly bread and butter pudding which we think used yesterday croissants and pain a chocs. Absolutely delicious. Had a small issue with the bath tap. Reported and fixed while at breakfast. Fab service. Location very central with bus and tram stops nearby and can walk to old town in 10 mins. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Perfectly fine comfortable room if facilities somewhat basic. Nice comfortable beds and very clean. General appearance of building is a bit tatty but rooms are newly decorated and clean. Location is perfect; a 15 minute walk from the train station and adjacent to the old town area. Staff were helpful. There WiFi in my room wasn't working so when I told staff about this one immediately came to my room to investigate and sort it out. Despite his willingness, he didn't fix it. I had lost my phone charger so the staff provided one for me to use which was very welcomed. The room was also very warm with only a fan to help cool it down but to be fair the absence of air conditioning was clearly flagged in the original booking so I knew what to expect. Overall accommodation was rather basic but perfectly fine for my needs.

The hotel is friendly and welcoming and well priced. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. We came for a long weekend in Bratislava and staff were helpful in choosing places to visit and advising on routes to get to destinations. The bar and restaurant are very good and the wine selection is excellent. It is a 20 minute walk to the old town but the hotel is near the bus station. There is a little road noise as the hotel is on a major route but it’s not intrusive and overall it’s a quiet place to stay. Very good.
