Price overrated for a motel 8 in Brookings SD. Room underrated as well. For this much, go to the motels next door that have the right to price gouge.

Staff at front desk was great. First room we got had no heat. Front desk staff came to check and then moved us to another room. The second room had no working tv. Again the front desk staff came to check but was unable to get it fixed. We could have tried another room but at this point we said we would just stay. Other than that, everything was okay.

Was easy access from highway. Plenty of places to get food and fuel. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Pool floor very rough and hard on feet. Hot tub very noisy. Booked accessible room but shower not walk in. That is NOT accessible. Read ADA guidelines.

Our rooma were wonderful. Breakfast was good. Staff was wonderful letting us use the breakfast area in the evening to celebrate our SDSU Senior Band Member after the football game for Pizza and Games.

The room had a damp odor, so we ran the dehumidifier that was in the room (never saw a hotel room with a dehumidifier before). We ran the bathroom fan too and eventually it smelled better or we got used to it. When I went to sleep, I felt something crawling in my arm. We jumped up and found the bug. Kind of looked like a young cockroach. My shower in the morning was lukewarm. There was a recliner that was dirty and bad condition. And all this for a total of $142/night!

Check in was awesome! Gal at the front desk when we arrived was super sweet and friendly!
Room was very clean and parking was easy.
Breakfast was good and plenty to choose from. Overall stay was good. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room had a strong musty stinky odor, assuming due to moisture as there was a dehumidifier running in the room. Turned on the water in the sink and 2 fruit flies flew out of the drain. Would not stay at this property again.
