It was different to check in without an actual person checking us in. The rooms are renovated, however it's a very much DIY renovation by someone who doesn't necessarily knows what they are doing. The toilet was running the whole time, the mattresses are very uncomfortable, the pillows are not great, the sheets had some stains. It was an OK stay, however I would not choose this Motel next time.

Everything was clean, no issues.
What I missed and was surprised not to have on the door to the room was a security chain or door guard. This especially so since the door to the room leads to the outside of the hotel and not to a hotel hallway. The hotel also uses keys which can be copied rather than the new systems which use codes.

I liked everything about the property except the beds. I am not a big fan of the spring beds, and that’s what they felt like. I had a sore back every morning, everything else was top notch.

This hotel is very clean. Beds were comfortable. Rooms are nicely decorated and felt welcoming when you walked in. Shower pressure was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Located on the hwy reminded me of the movie “planes trains and automobiles “ because that’s all I could hear. Other than that clean facility

I always stay at the Bayview when I'm in the Fort Frances area.
It has everything I need; it's always clean, I always get a great sleep and the staff go above and beyond.
Grace is incredibly helpful and an excellent communicator.
The Bayview will continue to be my go-to.

On the good side, the bed was very comfortable and the room was warm. This older motel was renovated but shows some signs of its age in its overall appearance, and matters like the chipped tub and gurgling from what are likely pipes in the wall. This is an automated motel where you see no-one and have to have a smart phone or at least a cell phone to have the room key dispensed from a wall unit in the reception room. It was not expensive but it was a disappointment.

Easy to find for an East West traveler but nothing else in the area. needed to drive for food, gas and really anything else,
Pretty spot though.
Had a gorgeous over the lake sunrise send us on our way.
