Beautiful place to stay, but the service in front desk is not friendly, the guys who work there don’t have a good service attitude, I got a really bad time trying to get check out lat because my flight was delayed and we needed a place to stay, definitely I think this hotel has many good things except the front desk staff

I don't want to be too negative, because in the end, my family had a wonderful Spring vacation in Punta Cana. Our room was spacious and the buffet restaurant was good with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The resort was also very accommodating to kids. However, there is construction on one side of the resort which is separated by a bamboo fence and there is sewer water running under the bamboo, causing the entire side of the resort to smell like sewer water. It was really bad. The front desk appeared to be understaffed and phone calls to them were often unanswered. During our stay the internet went out for approximately 24 hrs and the staff couldn't provide any updates or estimated time the situation would resolve. We ate 2 nights at the a-la-carte restaurants, but the service was too slow, especially with little kids, and orders ended up wrong or missing altogether. After the second disappointing night we agreed to go to the buffet each night for dinner. Fortunately, there was enough variety to keep things enjoyable there. The general consensus, in talking to other guest, was that everyone felt it was a very "affordable" resort. Given the price, I'm not overly disappointed with the experience, but we won't be returning.

I'll start with the pros.
The food options, despite reviews, were actually not bad. The resort felt very safe. Loved the direct access to the beach, and I did not feel like the resort was over crowded. That was pretty much the only pros I had.
Now the cons. I understand this is a newer resort, and they may be figuring a few things out, but the service was downright terrible. The broke my suitcase on arrival. Before I arrived, I asked for recommendations on transportation since they do not provide. They straight up told me they cannot help and to get an uber. I inquired about the preferred club, since there was no option to book a room with it and was told it was 80 USD per day. Totally reasonable. The part that threw me off was the sunset bar that is offered with preferred club is really the only extra perk. The staff there was rude, and it was empty! no music, no nothing. The alcohol options are not great either. This is an all inclusive resort. The only thing in my room was a coke and two mini beers. Their menus, directories, and everything else are all PDFs on Canva, which was ridiculous. Room service took almost 2 hours. None of the ice machines worked and when we called for ice it never came. The staff is rude and suck the life out of the place. We seemed to be the only people tipping and that's the ONLY time we got friendly service. You can only make one restaurant reservation per day. And then they try to upsell their club, while giving bad service. I wont be back.

Cleanliness should be improved, especially torn bedsheets and worn-out towels. Food is great, there are many options. Most of staff cannot speak English well so a bit of limited communication.

I couldn't make it to the hotel at the scheduled time, so I canceled my reservation and rebooked for the following day. Everything went smoothly, and I informed the hotel staff that my flight cancellation necessitated the change from February 2nd to February 3rd. The Serenade staff assured me that any refund would be handled by *******, as they were responsible for the transaction.
Upon my return, I contacted ******* to request a refund, only to be informed that the hotel had not approved it. This came as a surprise, as my experience with the Serenade Hotel was otherwise satisfactory. However, if they refuse to refund my initial reservation, which seems unjust, I cannot in good conscience endorse the hotel's reliability. I will reconsider my review and caution others about potential reservation issues.
I sincerely hope that ******* and the Serenade Hotel can rectify this situation, as it appears to be a result of inadequate communication between them. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Really nice, newer resort well kept and clean. The beach area is great. We always managed to get lounge chairs and cabana. There was a lot of sea **** on the beach, but the staff worked to keep most of it picked up. The sea **** in the water in mid January was a little annoying, but still enjoyed swimming. We thought the buffet food was only mediocre although the Steakhouse was good and they have good sandwiches at the sports bar. We had a pool access room right across the walkway from the open air part of the sports bar and the crowd there was really noisy until 2 a,m. or after so it was hard to sleep a couple nights and other nights the crowd wasn't loud.

Beautiful property with friendly staff. We loved our pool access room. The buffet and a la carte restaurants were all delicious with many options. We were accommodated with a late check out for $15/hr. We would definitely stay here again :)

The facility and staff were very good. The negative was the vacation club sales program. Made me wonder if the friendliness of the staff was all part of a scam to get you to buy into the vacation club. Definitely put a damper on the experience!!
