Friendly and delightful staffs who made the trip and proposal a success. Dining staffs were always with a smile and helped to introduce dishes patiently. Area is full of insects though which is expected so bring along insect repellant.

Vorona Resort is conveniently located in the popular Wang Krachae area. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Free Wi-Fi in all rooms, Wi-Fi in public areas, car park, room service, restaurant are just some of the facilities on offer. Guestrooms are fitted with all the amenities you need for a good night's sleep. In some of the rooms, guests can find internet access – wireless, internet access – wireless (complimentary), non smoking rooms, air conditioning, desk. The hotel's peaceful atmosphere extends to its recreational facilities which include outdoor pool, pool (kids), garden, water sports (non-motorized). Vorona Resort is an excellent choice from which to explore Sai Yok (Kanchanaburi) or to simply relax and rejuvenate.

Four of us stayed at the River Kwai Resotel resort over the Christmas holiday. Our rooms were bungalow-style with a shared porch. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The shower was very large and the amenities were adequate. They replenished the coffee/tea daily in addition to the waters. Even though other bungalows are very near, they do a great job of landscaping to block the views between them. Breakfast was ample. The restaurant is quite good, especially with its Thai offerings. They have 2 nice swimming pools. The one near reception is a smaller size while the one to the west of the main area is quite large. We enjoyed many swims. There are bikes available for use on grounds. They have some lounge chairs below at their dock. You can arrive by boat or car. The drive in is quite long and through a very rural area. It's quite amazing when you reach the end of the road and see this entire resort unfold. We spent some time and a little money at the neighboring Mon village. Walking up to the caves at the small, national park was also fun. Lots of up & down walking at the resort, too, as it's built into a steep, river valley hillside. Other than the bats at the cave, we didn't see much wildlife. There are a nice assortment of birds attracted to this resort area, however, and the morning serenade is lovely. They do have a small snack hut but the prices reflect that you are quite some distance from any competition. We all enjoyed our stay and do plan to return another time.
