Hotel Sorsanpesa

Helt basic hotel. Værelset var dårligt rengjort og meget skidt. Saunaen var også meget slidt.

Maintenance hasn't been a priority. We decided to stroll to the polluted river behind the hotel, but found after exiting the door, we were locked out, and locked into the back seating area (no staff for miles, so we had to jump the wall to get away). The breakfast was less than average (first time I had ever seen a pool of water in scrambled eggs). Arrived at 4pm on Sunday to check in, (all ***********, website and email communication said check in was from 3pm to late) only to find that reception (& the hotel) were closed on Sundays from 1pm to 6pm. When we did check in, we were told the restaurant was now closed, and there was no sauna on Sundays (might have been nice to know this before we booked).

Overall a great experience. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, very good facilities (free parking, gym, swimming pool, sauna). Enjoyable surroundings with direct access to the riverside and nature. Breakfast selection was quite basic, nothing exceptional. Points off due to lack of recycling. On the other hand, in-between room cleaning being on-demand only (free of charge) was a plus.

This hotel has colourful history and it's already 50 years old. It's 30min walk away from City Centre, but during one weekend every year, it's in the middle of everything and that is when Provinssi Music Festival is held. Parking and (basic) breakfast were free and my room was renovated, so all good. Toilet/shower wasn't that big, beds and pillows were average and service(young trainees?) little "shaky". But overall for that price everyhing was ok for short business trip.

Place is quite nice and comfy, although the age of over 50 years is showing in places. However, it's clean and well maintained so no worries on that sense. Slight minus for the fact that there is no air conditioning, at least not in the room where we were, and this year summer is very hot. This is a minor detail as the windows do open properly so you can get some cool air in during the night.

Aamiainen oli runsas ja hyvä. Koiran kanssa oli helppo majoittautua. Jokiympäristö oli kaunis ja rauhallinen.

Yleiset tilat ihan ok, henkilökunta mukavaa ja palvelu toimii. Huoneen kunto aivan karmea, vuotava verho, ryppyset verhot, maalia puuttuu karmeista, laminaatissa sentin rakoja lankkujen välissä.

Huoneessa outo haju, ikkuna vaikea saada auki kun osittain rikki. Huoneessa kuuma. Ruoka ravintolassa todella hyvää. Aamupala oli myös hyvä. Rauhallinen ympäristö.

Rauhallinen sijainti ja hyvät palvelut. Huoneen kunto hieman "vanhahko".
