Another city another hotel ... so here it is the Delta Hotel , the 4 star section in Tulcea. Indeed the hotel has 2 sections, a 3 star section and the 4 star section where we were staying connected with the huge restaurant at the mezzanine section. We picked the 4 star section for our 3 nights stay in Tulcea and here are the findings. Location - on the Isaccei street in Tulcea you will find the Delta 4 hotel - parking is a nigh**are at the hotel , the 4 star section has a very limited parking lot in the reception area, and because you are in Romania you can find your car blocked by other guests parking behind you so you can't move your car ... so if you want to drive during your stay you can park in the 3 star section of the hotel were is more space and 0 risk of being stuck. The room we have was comfortable, not very big but with more than enough space and with a balcony overlooking the mighty Danube. The bathroom had a bathtub with a shower and it was clean - nothing to complain about. Minibar with plenty of water and some stronger spirits if you cared for a drink - with the prices for the minibar slightly high. There is a lobby bar with a patio/covered terrace if you like - but during the summer in the evening prepare for the mosquitos assaulting you. Also the pool is very nice - customer can use it free of charge - the water is more than 1,5 m deep so if you are with kids who don't know how to swim be careful. The breakfast - honesty I expected more- it was kind of average , buffet style , but nothing special - I enjoyed especially the pickled herring and fish roe salad. Overall a very good hotel , no perfect score due to the parking situation and the average breakfast - otherwise I do recommend this hotel if you want to spend some days in Tulcea.

The hotel has little competition in Tulcea. Perhaps that is why management does not bother with the small details that guests appreciate. 1. corridors are dark at night. if there are light bulbs they do not work. 2. only one coffee machine at breakfast time. 3. Items at the buffet are not labeled, and the staff does not speak English. 4. only 1 towel per person. 5. Towels are thin and fairly small. 6. Bathroom fixtures are rusty and leaky. 7. Room keys only work 1 out of 2 or 3 times. One needs to run downstairs to the reception desk to re-initialize them. 8. No Shampoo. 9. No hand towels or washcloths in the bathroom.

The staff is nice but they cannot substitute the fact that this hotel is very old and needs urgent refurbishment. The 2 stars comes from the fact that bathroom drainage system smells really really bad . almost impossible to stay in the room the breakfast is regular

Excellent position and the hotel is well maintain!

I felt uncomfortable so I found a better place to stay. The food was not great and they treated the Romanian s in your groups better than their other guests. The two men at reception and the bat were nasty.

What a nice hotel . Great servicing, great owner involvement and excellent food. We had a medical emergency and the attitude of the staff and the owner was 100%! The food in the 2 restaurants was so tasty, well plated and sumptuous! Highly recommended.
