Allgemein sehe ich eine Diskrepanz zwischen Anspruch/Preis und Wirklichkeit. Das Hotel wurde nett renoviert, Zimmer sind aber sehr klein. Das innere ist sehr ruhig, aber es fehlt etwas an Ambiente (Hintergrundmusik? …). Service nicht auf 5 Sterne Niveau (bsp wurde uns zu keinem Zeitpunkt Hilfe mit unserem Gepäck angeboten, auch nicht, als ein Mitarbeiter zufällig in den selben Fahrstuhl stieg). Lage ist top. Preis aber zu hoch.

The decor throughout the hotel blended in beautifully with the city of Dresden. What impressed me most was the graciousness and help (I had a lot of questions!) from ALL the receptionists, especially Paula Krausch. When I checked in, I asked her to look at the restaurants I had booked and asked if she had any other suggestions. She asked what type of food I liked and then offered to cancel some of my reservations and book other ones. I then enjoyed 6 wonderful meals during the week!

The hotel is a piece of history . The location is perfect in the heart of the historic district . The staff is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable. Don’t miss the huge selection on their breakfast buffet - fresh fruit to some awesome breads

I must admit, I often approach large chain hotels with a hint of skepticism, expecting a standardized experience that may lack personal touch. However, my recent stay at Gewandhaus Dresden, an Autograph Collection hotel, shattered these preconceptions and left me thoroughly impressed. Over the course of our wonderful 5-day stay, it became evident that Gewandhaus embodies the essence of what sets Autograph Collection properties apart within the Marriott brand. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, the warmth and efficiency of the front desk staff set a promising tone for our visit. Their recommendations for local attractions, dining options, and hidden gems truly enhanced our experience of the city. It was evident that they took the time to understand our preferences and tailor their suggestions accordingly, demonstrating a level of attentiveness that is often lacking in larger hotel chains. Furthermore, the breakfast served daily was a highlight of our stay. Each morning greeted us with a delightful spread of culinary delights, impeccably presented and fabulous service. It provided the perfect start to our days of exploration and adventure. Our room surpassed all expectations. In contrast to typical European standards, it was remarkably spacious and boasted a charming view overlooking a picturesque street.

Great stay, restaurant on site, Bar was all delightful! Really enjoyed the sauna! Would definitely stay here again. Room was clean, quite and roomy! pillows were great, fluffy just like I like them. Staff was great and helpful. All around great experience.

The Gewandhaus is expertly managed and run with well trained and friendly employees. We have stayed at this hotel 3-4 times and it has become our choice within Dresden. Whatever the purpose of your stay from business, to visiting museums to Christmas Markets this hotel will meet all those needs and provide you with luxury accommodations. Wonderful breakfast - Highly recommend!
