This is a quirky guesthouse conveniently situated in Springbok for an overnight stop if you’re travelling between South Africa and Namibia. Rooms/linen were clean and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was fairly basic. Dinner can be provided on request. There’s a Polynesian-type theme, which all looks rather quirky and a bit dated - but there’s nothing wrong with this location and Springbok generally is the obvious base if you’re doing the road trip Cape Town/Namibia or the other way around. Secure parking behind gates. Some rooms much better than others.

My family and I loved the spacious rooms with the basics that we needed for our stay,the breakfast was beautiful and filling,we had last minute changes to our dietary requirements and they made it happen,thank you so much for your friendly and kind staff…we hope to see you soon,so that we can enjoy the walking trail to see the sunrise and all the other specialities to have to offer.

I can highly recommend this beautiful place in the heart of Namaqualand. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped inside the reception area. This experience never changed. The staff were always very friendly and helpfull. No request was too much. The rooms are spacious and each room has its own unique character. I particularly liked this. They have a play area for the kids with a wonderfully enchanting garden. I shall definitely make this establishment my first choice for a stay in Springbok.

Very warm welcoming at the lodge and a cosy and comfortable stay at the Blue Diamond Lodge made us feel at home. The breakfast was exceptional and staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean and offered save parking for the car. Garden a pool had more than you’d expected. We can easily recommend everything. Thank you!

The reception was professional,friendly at 02H00 in the morning. The Rooms very clean I loved the towels. The bathroom area spacious and everything perfectly clean Our first night our room had a pool just in front perfect for my 05H00 swim.

it was a stopover for only one night on our way from Kakamas to Paternoster - and we regretted that we could not stay longer; a very comfortable room with an amazing bathroom, very friendly and helpful staff, a wonderful huge garden just in the rocks of the mountains - we will be back as soon as possible

We booked a wheelchair friendly room. They gave us a room by the reception. To go and gave breakfast we must do 2 steps down, 6 up and 2 up. This is for someone who booked a wheelchair friendly room toooooo much. So they arranged breakfast in our room, but it was cold, no coffee or thee. So it was a disaster. We booked a wheelchair friendly room, but with a wheelchair you cannot use the bathroom. A total disaster. Never again.

The staff at the lodge is very friendly and will assist where they can. They really went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately the property has seen better days and a lot of attention is required to live up to its former glory days.
