Checked into this hotel at abt 8 or 9pm, cos we could not stand the hotel we checked in earlier. Was so glad that we got a beautiful deluxe room for ourselves at this timing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The reception even accommodated my last minute request for a birthday surprise for my hubby at midnight. They were so nice!! They prepared a choco lava cake with a birthday candle and a Happy Birthday wish on the plate. And 2 staff were there singing a Happy Birthday song as well. Hubby was very much caught by surprise. The room was great - spacious with sofa and armchairs with nice looking furniture, the whole room is very clean with a nice cosy setting, bathroom amenities was great, and the king bed and pillows were so comfortable I had the best sleep in many months! The best sleep was definitely the highlight of my holiday this time round 🤭 Location is awesome as its so near to Nagoya Hill Mall, all we had to do was just go by the back way. Breakfast is nice and filling. I'm not really a picky water so being full is good for me. We had a great view from our room as well. It was such a pleasure and a redemption from the bad service we unfortunately had to receive from our earlier booking at another hotel. The rooms are really as nice as the photos they uploaded. Really made our day here at Grand I Hotel. Thank you to all the staff who have served us during our stay 28 to 30 Jan 2023 at Room 627. We are really grateful for a wonderful holiday and birthday experience here. We will definitely be back here when we come to Batam again. Keep up the good work!

It’s a refurbished hotel but it’s well maintained. The room are clean. Breakfast are acceptable for a small hotel. There’s good spread of buffet breakfast and there’s also egg, noodle,porridge and desert kiosk . Staff are helpful and superb from the security, housekeeping and restaurant staff.

Wonderful apartment. Very clean and worth the price. The ambiance of the hotel is simply breathtaking. Stay for 2 night in July..(Sat-Mon) with Breakfast Hotel lobby not So big but its long shape..Love the elevator located where hide from FO counter but direct to main access n Lobby. Cons -Even the location is in Nagoya,but its not in central nagoya where u cant find food or city walk easily.(its stil acceptable where u can use transport) -The sink in toilet room Number 8007 is almost clogged,the water from sink bowl dissappear slowly. - Omellete station during Breakfast on 11/7 very slow,I order the omelette 1st before enter the dining area(coz the omelette station is beside lift).After i take my food,wait very long for my omelette to ready.I finish all my breakfast already then the omelette is arrived.very spoils my morning. -Not a walking distance to attractions. Pros. -Good FO,F&B(except mention above),HK and concierge team.They all serve with smile n generous. -The attitude of staf is show how good is indonesia hospitality. -Even the pools not so big and the gym is small.But this is enough for you to relax n enjoy the facilities while see the view of nagoya town. -affordable price hotel room -delicious buffet spread(i really means it). -The lady in black suits (F&B incharge on 10&11/7 is really good.She really makesure all the food is top up and cust have enough food).But i forget her name. -Room is quite good and its concept suitable for couple due to the toilet is glass wall n using only white blinder.(we like it coz we r couple). -They using Presidential suite hotel collection mattress and its really good for me. -i like how simple the minibar and kettle design. -good lightning in room -nice view from room. -Good HK team in cleaning our room when we out to town. -I like when hotel using card scanner in lift to room level,its very secure n privacy. -Love the smells of the lobby n room -its sound proof quite good -And the Air conditioner its really good,well maintain and cools.(we in asean hv very hot temperatures,and good AC is must in hotel). Overall this hotel give u good level in privacy and comfortable stay.Even there is some space need to improve but not its still a good hotel with the good staff. TQ

Stayed here for 2 nights during my birthday, booked through Traveloka. First night I was given a free upgrade as the room I booked for was no longer available. Following afternoon I extended the stay through Traveloka for another night. Pros: Bed is comfortable, check-in process was quick, spacious bedroom, cold air conditioning CONS: Shower water heater did not work properly. Called the front desk and they said they'd follow up / call back (we waited hours and decided to just use the cold water shower). I found a disgusting wrapping paper from a used condom under the curtains (careless housekeeping, did not clean the place thoroughly). Bed sheets had weird yellow stains. Wi-Fi is super slow and continuously disconnects from your phones. Before check-out time, there was no courtesy call from the front desk bothering to ask if we were checking out or extending the stay. WITH my room on DO NOT DISTURB, the staff came in front my door knocking loudly and quick not stating even which department they were from or what purpose they had coming in front of the door. Also, on the day I extended the stay, I also had the DO NOT DISTURB sign shown but the staff proceeded to ring the doorbell to make up my room in which I asked them to come back at 3PM since I was leaving at that time; they told me ”sure, but 3pm is the only time we can come back since there will be no other staff to clean after as we'll be going home” thank you fyi ☺️ At check-out, (around before 1pm) the front desk staff did not bother asking for feedback and just gave me my deposit and I checked out. Another thing, to go to the motorbike parking area, you have to go behind the hotel where it is all muddy and dirty, they wouldn't allow you to park closer despite having the parking space COMPLETELY EMPTY. Small advice, please kindly train your staff to read the DND signs and what not to do when it is SWITCHED ON. And if you say you want to follow up on something and call us back, ACTUALLY DO IT. Prevent your guests from waiting too long. I will attach the photo of the wrapping paper from the used condom on this review. I'm unable to mention any of the names of your staff as NONE wore their name tags.

I visit Batam almost every week and this is my favorite hotel! Since July 22, I estimate I have stayed 40-50 nights in the past 11 months. On paper, this is a 3 star hotel. But the rooms and facilities feel like 4 stars, and the staff is 5 stars. A big Thank You! to all the staff who made my stay enjoyable. To Mugi, and the rest of the Reception staff, thank you for always being cheerful and helpful. Thank you the restaurant staff who are always helpful, even in the face of my unusual requests. And to the always smiling lady who collects laundry who makes always takes that extra step in effort and service. What is great: The rooms are largish and clean. The decor is bright and cheery. The bed, pillows and bolsters are the best in Batam. I get the best night's sleep here! The shower has good pressure and the water is nice and hot. And again, the staff is FANTASTIC! What is no so great: The breakfast is average. The WiFi has improved and is fast but sometimes there are outages. But this may be more of a Batam thing than a Hotel thing. What you may think is bad but is not really: The location. There are no shopping centers or shops nearby that you can easily walk to. But the location is actually pretty ok. Because it is near Nagoya, you can usually get a Grab in less than 5 minutes. And Grab is pretty affordable in Batam. The hotel is about 10 minutes from Harbour Bay and 15 minutes from Batam Center. It is 10 minutes from Nagoya hill and 15 minutes from Grand Batam. Plus, the hotel sits on a hill. From the top floor bistro, you can see the sea (and Singapore) 270 degrees around! We booked a total of 10 rooms including twins and double for a 3 days 2 nights stay in Batam recently. On the day when we arrived at the hotel at 2.30 local time, only 3 rooms were ready while 7 rooms would be ready around 5pm local time. We were disappointed as we expected check-in at 2pm but it did not happen. Next, we temporarily occupied the 3 rooms and left all our luggage in these 3 rooms first before we decided to explore Batam. We tested to see if the equipment was working in the rooms, the TV had to be replaced from another room while the next room's remote control was not working and had to be replaced by the housekeeping team. Aircon was at 17 degrees but could not feel the coolest. There was a strong stenchy smell from the toilet shower outlet. It was so bad that we asked for housekeeping people to check on it. They came and sprayed air refresher and covered the water outlet with a small soap hoping that the smell will go away. Some of the balance rooms indeed had the same problem too. When asked to change our rooms, they gave the excuse that there were no rooms available and that the maintenance team will look at it by the time we returned. Breakfast was very limited and not much of varieties. Overall, it was not a hotel that I would go to unless they maintain or upgrade this place. Some of the room facing was bad and the toilet bowls were placed so close to the sink it was difficult to sit on it. An overhaul of this place is really required.

The hotel is nice but I request 1 double bed but they give combination of 2 twin bed & the Wi-Fi is very slow. The toilet very small & have flot water. Just complain to the hotel but no action & no response from them
